A scirocco is a dry, strong wind blowing from the Sahara desert, accompanied by thick ochre-colored dust carried from North Africa over the Mediterranean Sea. This dust is reminiscent of Syrah soils. This wine pairs well with gastronomic dishes and has great aging potential. Cinsault expresses griotte aromas and has a very firm minerality that will deepen Syrah's aging over time. True to its Provencal terroir, this wine can be carafaged 30-45 minutes before bottling to bring out its power and finesse.
