Pontet Canet 2014 is a serious wine from Pauillac, combining power and great finesse both on the nose and palate. The nose is expansive, with a purity of black fruit, very fragrant and taut. The palate is dynamic, easily digestible, with a persistent sense of fruit and an overall sense of refinement and finesse (as in very high levels of tannins). The palate is juicy and has a creamy texture: overall it is superb! A very precise wine.
